University Week One
DAY ONE MON: Monday was a start of a new, fresh week of Starting my course at university after spending my first weekend socializing, partying ect emotions are all up in the air. I got prepare for my first day and took my first walk with my new flat mates to the uni I will studying at for the next three years!! ARGGGGGGG
We started the day being introduce and assigned to our new groups in our course, I was so excited but so nervous at the same time knowing I am spending three years with everyone in that room and thinking what everyday had in store for me was a big idea to swallow.
We then all then had a talk about the course and then had to be enrolled, meaning I had to queue up in a hectic amount off chairs and students and have a HORRID picture taken of myself for my student card. Later everyone had to explain their summer projects and present them but I had to rush off to an interview with Toys R Us Which I was excited for as who has not thought it would be AWESOME to work there? Then i would truly be a ToYs R uS kId !!!
DAY TWO TUE: We had a early Nine! O'clock start on Tuesday and lets say I am not a morning person, I really do Love my sleep. We all registered that morning and headed down as a big group to an ICT meeting on how to access all our information for the Student Portal and other general information about the University which was very helpful. We all had to watch this very strange video with a man showing us round the uni, he was very weird but on the other hand quite amusing. Then me and a friend headed back to the university to later do a task called 'Head in a Bag' which was rather strange, involving cutting and sticking onto a brown paper bag of what our outer ego was. It was fun to do and I rather enjoyed it as I love activities like arts and crafts. After all the Crafts me and Ellen decided we would like to treat our self to a Cheeky Nandos! which was delicious and would definitely have again... highly recommend. Our last task of the day was for three days take picture around Southampton in black and white then upload them onto our Make-up and Hair design Facebook page.
Then we had to complete a little treasure hunt around the uni which was quite hard finding little Illamasqua labels. We were all walking around in circles unsure of where we were going but we did manage it in the end.
DAY FOUR THURSDAY: Again, I did like Thursday morning as we got to be in for ten again which was lovely and we started the day with a Blogging class and as you may tell by reading this, this is my first blog and we were taught how to set up an account, post, set up the page ect which was very useful as we have been tolled we will use this all the time. We were set this task to write about our first week for homework explaining what we did and how we felt about it. At half eleven we went to have a talk with Charles Fox and there make-up brand which I love as it can be used for general everyday looks but also theatre ect. They also gave us a demo whilst answering questions that anyone had and explained to us how they both got to work for Charles Fox and what they thought of it. The look they did was more of a going out look with a smoky eye but more simple face make-up. Later on was freshers fair which was awesome but very hot and busy as everyone wanted to get ALL the free-bees they could, I managed to come back with a whole bag full of goodies. I did want to win a pizza but unfortunly my cup flipping skills failed me that time... hahaha
LAST DAY FRIDAY: Was our day off, YAY! which was nice to have some down time as I traveled back to my hometown to visit the family for that evening. This was nice as my mum wanted to know anything and everything I had been up too, she also very kindly spoilt me with a delicious roast dinner with the family and my boyfriend. Nothing better then home cooking.

DAY THREE WEDNESDAY: Luckily, that day I had a bit more of a lie in which was nice and had to be at the uni for 10 O'clock instead of nine which was bliss. The first part of my day involved a talk on knowing the hygiene of make-up and understanding the importance of it. We were given a task to fine out contagious and non-contagious hair and skin diseases for our homework so everyone to have an understanding of them so for in the future we know how to deal with certain cases of it. the whole talk was very useful and I understand more how important it is to keep all my kit clean to prevent any of those infections to myself or others. Because nobody wants anything like that! After we had a talk with our main course leader and went through the student handbook and covered the main areas that were important, which again was very useful. Later on after grabbing some food for lunch and having a bit of explore of the town and its shops, I headed back for a talk with Illamasqua which was really interesting knowing how they got into the industries and what kind of work they had done which I loved finding out. The make-up they showed us later on was very cool like their Hydro-vail which made the skin appear more wet and have more moisture to the skin. They then did a demo on two girls from our group based on the idea of a Indian festival full of colour.
Then we had to complete a little treasure hunt around the uni which was quite hard finding little Illamasqua labels. We were all walking around in circles unsure of where we were going but we did manage it in the end.
